DIANA GASCH

My name is Diana Gasch and I am excited to have joined the South County Co-Op and work with all of your “little whales”.

I have been a stay at home Mom for my two energetic children for the past 10 years and have enjoyed every minute of it!  Jackson is my oldest. He is 11 years old in fifth grade at Deale Elementary.  Arianna is the “baby” of our family. She is 7 years old and in second grade. Both kids keep me very busy with their sports and activities. Sometimes I feel like I am there “personal Uber Driver”...  I have been married to my husband Blaine for 18 years. I am very proud to say Blaine is a 17 year veteran with the United States Capitol Police. He is as out- going as I am if not more, and a big teddy bear.

We have lived in the south county area for 16 years. I am a native to Maryland, raised in Bowie. I am very proud of my Cuban-American heritage. My mother is from Havana Cuba. Through my mother and extended family I was raised with many Cuban traditions, and especially love all the delicious food.

I graduated from Bowie High School and attended West Virginia Wesleyan College. I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Spanish. After Wesleyan I attended The University of Maryland School of Social Work and graduated with a Masters Degree.  From there I went to work for the US Customs Service now Homeland Security.

There I was an Employee Assistance Counselor for four years and provided counseling services and training for employees in the Washington Area and throughout the country.  After leaving Customs Service I changed professional course and was an Aftercare Enrichment Teacher and Director for 3 years at St. Anne’s School of Annapolis. I loved my work there and the programs I developed for the children, but I left for the my best job EVER!!..being a Stay at Home Mom.

Now that my children are older I was hoping for an opportunity to work with children again and have the flexibility I needed for my family.  Fortunately, things have a way of working out when you least expect it!

I am so happy to be a part of this community. All of your children are so special and precious. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to watch them grow and flourish.
